Outreach at Clemson University

On this page, you will find descriptions of the activities and organizations I was involved with during my time at Clemson University. My participation in these parts of the Clemson community enhanced my college experience and helped me to build life-long connections.

Tutoring

Working as a Spanish tutor for 2 years at the Academic Success Center strengthened my love for teaching and allowed me to help my peers be successful in their Spanish courses. I tutor grammar classes ranging from SPAN 1010, where students are first introduced to basic Spanish grammar to SPAN 2020 where more complex topics are taught. Seeing the difference tutoring can make for college students made me want to pursue education after graduating.

The Aurantiaco

My freshman year of college (2022), I learned about an undergraduate humanities journal called The Auarantiaco. After a competitive selection and editing process, my essay was selected to represent the English section of the 2023 edition. Being involved in this journal and seeing the months of hard work that go into publishing was an experience I will never forget. Below, you can read my essay

"'An Apparent Composure of Mind': Self-identity in Sense and Sensibility and The Woman of Colour".
